The Senior IT Support Engineer will provide local and Global IT support for Chegg employees. Reporting to the Director of IT, He/She will lead technical efforts and projects for the IT Support group in partnership with our Systems and network engineering staff. A strong background in IT support is a must but also experience with supporting IT infrastructure for a small to medium-sized business. Knowledge of basic cloud systems, networking, and AV design is highly desired. Excellent communication, time management, and professional presence are required.


  • Provide in-person support for Chegg Israel office
  • Provide Technical support and escalations from local office and Global Tier 1-2 Service Desk teams
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems with Microsoft and Apple products, including desktop and laptop hardware
  • Intermediate understanding of imaging technologies, including Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, SysPrep, and enterprise backup technology.
  • Experience with cloud enterprise security products, such as Symantec, Proofpoint, OKTA SSO, data-loss prevention and encryption software.
  • Perform system upgrades and incorporate new technologies to the infrastructure minimizing effects on the user experience - working nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Actively assist and participate in the implementation of systems, infrastructure and related network and communications hardware for our local growing office(s).
  • Intermediate abilities and expertise in support of network communication protocols, especially TCPIP and WAN communications.
  • Strong analytical ability and complex problem solver.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Support and assist employees using AV systems, both on-site and remote, projectors, audio and video-conferencing
  • Experience with collaborating on facilities projects and new office build outs
  • IT Coordination for external assigned vendors/partners
  • Create/update documentation (support, administration, user-procedures, quick reference guides); & delivers supportive training to IT members and End Users
  • Project coordination with Global IT teams
  • Printer Integration and Support, existing and new builds
  • Organize and maintain IT server room, IT storage, and IT work areas.

  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent work experience and/or technical certification(s) a plus
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts, ITIL Foundation Certification a plus
  • 5+ years' experience in IT, at least 2 years of global support experience in an IT technical or operations role
  • Experience providing hardware and software support in a Windows and Mac environment
  • Ability to successfully track multiple tasks and remain positive and calm under pressure
  • Ability to document and socialize procedures, findings, improvements, & techniques
  • Excellent verbal communication, effective with the remote communication
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to provide On-Call and After-Hours support
  • Ability to lift up to 25KG
  • Some travel may be required <10%
