Big Data Developer

Elbit Ra’annana is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Analytics team to improve and grow our Cyber Big Data Platform and take it to the next level

The role will emphasize on developing a large scale Data platform and creating the best processes during the whole data life cycle – from ingestion and ETL, to analysis, AI, reporting and external APIs

You will help us grow and expand the existing platform to larger scales, and multiple data sources from the cyber security and cyber intelligence world using the most advanced technologies and analytical processes

Elbit is establishing a new leading Cyber Intelligence and Cyber Security product solution. Our business unit is facing the most advanced and complicated challenges in the Cyber security field

We are looking for a candidate with the passion to bring his existing knowledge into reality and learn new skills

Main Responsibilities:

Experienced developer with excellent coding skills. A resourceful problem solver, with innovative, can-do approach

You should be a team player that can cooperate and communicate with others, on the other hand you should be able to learn, develop and progress independently.

You should have passion about data. A broad and deep hands-on experience with Data processes and management, relational and Big-Data\NoSQL Databases, and data processing tools and frameworks

You should have the ability to understand the big picture and design considerations of large scale data systems, be able to solve the problems along the way and take the right decisions

A self-learner with ability to go into existing platform, and learn new technologiesה

Master\Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering

Developer with proven experience of at least 4 years

Python and Java experience of at least 3 years (not scripting or automation, preferred experience with pure backend with design patterns and OOB)

Experience in developing large scale data systems, with ETL\Batch\Streaming processing and using Big Data platforms of at least 3 years

Ability to write high-performance, maintainable, reusable code

Proficient in a Unix/Linux environment

Working knowledge of agile development

Knowledge and experience of more than 2 years with: Vertica or alternatively Hadoop, Spark or similar

Knowledge and experience of more than 2 years with no-SQL DB like Elastichsearch,, Mongo

Knowledge and experience of more than 2 years with data processing pipeline (such as flink, AirFlow, Nifi) and messaging systems (preferably Kafka)

Knowledge and experience of at least 1 year with Docker, Advantage - Kubernetes

Knowledge and understanding of End-2-End systems including, Git, Jenkins, DevOps

Knowledge and understanding of Cloud systems like AWS

Advantage - Background in Machine Learning, NLP or related field

Advantage - Deep understanding of Cyber Security domain
