Ilyon is seeking a seasoned mobile marketer to lead the User Acquisition team.

The Head of UA will develop and drive the strategy for paid campaigns and unlock growth opportunities for our mobile casual titles. The role includes management of a team of UA professionals and working closely with the BI team, designers, and media partners.

The ideal candidate should have a solid track record of planning, buying and optimizing ROI-based advertising through multiple mobile channels, a data-driven mindset, practical Mobile UA expertise and experience in managing a team.

The Role

  • Build and own the paid User Acquisition strategy and growth roadmap.
  • Lead a high performing, highly collaborative team of experienced performance marketing professionals, and recruit new candidates.
  • Work with various departments closely such as BI, CRM, and Product to enable the overall marketing effectiveness and decision making.
  • Determine the suite of tools, automation, and processes necessary for scale, and help with the development of analytic tools, technology, and process to drive efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with multiple ad network partners and 3rd party tools.
  • Constantly innovate, stay updated on mobile UA best practices – Deploy new experiments and bring on new partners, creative formats, technologies or tools, to drive growth.
  • Generate analytical insights that drive significant improvement – Understanding why campaigns fail/succeed, identification of inefficiency, ROI optimization, etc.
  • Influence internal marketing plans across the organization and coordinate internally to share key learnings with the company and executive team to accelerate growth.

  • BA degree in Marketing, Business or a quantitative discipline (Stats, Economics, etc).
  • 5+ years of experience in performance marketing; and at least 3+ years hands-on mobile (apps/games) user acquisition experience, managing large monthly budgets (more than $1M monthly budget).
  • Proven success in delivering growth through paid user acquisition (with large budgets).
  • Mastery of digital marketing platforms – Google Adwords (UAC), Facebook, Google Analytics/Firebase, attribution, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a firm understanding of mobile analytics technologies, and experience in spreadsheets, SQL, analytics, and dashboard creation.
  • Proven experience in recruiting and leading high-performing UA teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Creative and ad optimization experience.
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally, and adapt to a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
