Automation Manager (Cortex XDR)

Palo Alto Networks XDR Quality group is looking for a technical, Automation manager, experienced with Automation development processes from infrastructure to E2E tests with expert knowledge of Software development best practices and processes. 

A focused mindset of continuous quality improvements around stability, functionality, automation coverage, and innovation is key. Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills are required as you will collaborate with Engineers, Quality and R&D teams, Program and Product Management. 

As the Automation manager, you will be responsible for ensuring top quality and you will oversee and coordinate the overall testing process and projects. You will design and enhance automation frameworks, help strategize and improve automation test effectiveness.

Your Impact 

• Define and drive the execution of automation strategies, processes, and end to end automation tests development
• Own the overall technical roadmap of automation, strategy, implementation, execution, tracking, and reporting
• Be a technical lead, including responsibility for code reviews, recruiting, personal development, training, and mentoring the automation engineers
• Partner with software development managers, functional & performance QA leaders to devise test automation strategies to drive the automation and to come up with extensive automation coverage of testing
• Collaborate with the DevOps teams to ensure test framework and methodologies are integrated with continuous integration

• Proven 3+ years of experience as an Automation Manager
• Proven hands-on experience writing Python-based automation frameworks
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Academic degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience working with Endpoint based products - Big advantage
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence inside and outside of the organization at the highest levels
• Excellent communication skills with members, staff, and individuals in a professional manner along with the ability to present and explain information effectively
• Team player, with a high ability to work independently
• The candidate should also possess the ability to work under pressure with extreme deadlines, prioritize projects & tasks, and maintain focus and a sense of humor in a dynamic environment
